Helan: housekeeping services

In addition to all services like health insurance, Helan also offers household help. As usual, they do this through a handy app. To introduce this app with all its functionalities, they wanted a short, powerful animation video that every viewer could relate to.

The customer

In 2022, Partena and OZ officially merged to form Helan Independent Health Insurance Fund. They became the third-largest health insurance fund in Flanders. Helan also offers home care, child care, housekeeping services, summer camps and a healthcare store.

The challenge

There are many situations where a user-friendly app comes in handy. Say there's a customer who wants to schedule an extra cleaning appointment. Or a customer who has to cancel a scheduled cleaning. There are a lot of situations we could show, but time is limited. 

How can we give the viewers a clear overview of what the app can do without losing their attention?

Our solution

One building, five Helan customers. One of them has a holiday planned, the other wants to do some spring cleaning ... with this concept we can show five situations where the housekeeping services app comes in handy, in less than a minute. All with friendly characters in a relatable setting. Because every toddler plays with their food!

Now the viewer understands that customers can take care of practically everything in just a few clicks, thanks to the app.

Behind the scenes

Script and storyboard

Yes, we could tell the viewer that the app is very convenient. And then list all the features one by one. But it's a lot more powerful to show the viewer how useful it is. With real-life examples. 

We opted for a down-to-earth, friendly tone-of-voice. Paired with likeable characters and a cosy atmosphere, we get an upbeat animation video that is perfect for Helan.

Style Proposal

As a health fund, Helan is fully committed to digitalisation. But they are also committed to a personal touch. It's a precarious balance we also had to take into account when developing the visual style. Keywords were warm, human, likeable. The result is a fixed visual style that you will also recognise in other videos we made for Helan.
