Ivago: Recycling parks

Ivago's recycling parks in Ghent and Destelbergen are getting a new look. And a lot will change. To make each visit as smooth as possible, Ivago wants to show what to expect as a visitor, and what you can do to prepare. We cast that message in a smooth video that clearly explains the whole process step by step.

The customer

Ivago takes care of the collection of household waste from the 281,000 residents of Ghent and Destelbergen. Their employees keep the city clean using modern sweepers. And they receive 300,000 visitors each year in their recycling parks.

The challenge

You can't go back to the first zone once you move on to the second zone. You might pay too much if you don't know which category your waste belongs to. And you will have to drive back and forth a lot if you don't sort your waste in advance. There are a lot of things we need to explain. 

But we also don't want to scare off visitors. Or lose their attention by sharing a long list of instructions.

Our solution

To us it was clear: we need to set a good example. So we show our two main characters paying a visit to the recycling park, and everything goes very smoothly. Because that's how easy it can be.

We didn't create an exact replica of a real recycling park, but rather a stylised version. Allowing us to highlight the right elements in each scene, and make the right impact.
