The 10 commandments of the GF
All work and no play? No, every now and then we make a video on our own initiative, just for ourselves. Like this one, which explains the 10 commandments of the Gentse Feesten.
The customer
There is no real client for this case. We made this video mainly because we love Gentse Feesten ;-)
The challenge
We didn't make up the 10 Commandments ourselves. They have been around since 2013, and came about at the initiative of the collective Feestbaarheidskader. Their goal? To call on visitors to party while still being considerate of local residents. Because if we can limit the nuisance, the Gentse Feesten will be able to continue for a long time.
A noble goal, which we fully support. So we thought: let's boost that message with a playful animated video!
Our solution
We didn't have to start from scratch: we already had a fun text full of witty jokes. To match that energy, we came up with a playful scene to reinforce each commandment, and we poured all of it into a visual style full of character, completely tailored to the Gentse Feesten.
We found the perfect voice to deliver this message, and bring all the puzzle pieces together. The end result? An fun video that finds - and entertains - its audience year after year.
