Culture Connect: Newspaper Kiosk

Those who are a bit savvy in the digital world will have no trouble finding their way around the Newspaper Kiosk platform. But not all library visitors are equally digitally savvy. Just for them, Cultuurconnect wanted to explain step by step how the platform works, so that everyone can enjoy this service.

The customer

Cultureconnect goes for digital innovation in art and culture together with local culture houses, governments, technology players and artistic initiatives. They support Flemish municipalities in the digital challenges of their cultural policies, with an emphasis on public libraries, cultural and community centers.

The challenge

The library has long been much more than a place to borrow books. Through the Newspaper Kiosk, visitors also get easy access to a wide selection of digital newspapers and magazines. Only not all visitors know yet that this service exists, let alone how they use the platform.

With a clear and approachable instructional video, we want to guide them through the process step by step, so that everyone can enjoy the possibilities offered by the newsstand without effort.

Our solution

We created a short and accessible animation video that fits seamlessly with the libraries' visual style. Using screen shots, clear instructions and a logical structure, the video guides the viewer step-by-step through the process.

The warm voice-over, smooth animations and logical structure make the instructions easy to follow. Thus, we ensure that every library visitor can quickly and independently discover the newsstand.
